Deductions
Federal withholding

Enter eligible credits and deductions from your completed W-4 worksheets. Claim exempt only if you meet the form’s requirements.
State and local adjustments
Add back pretax deductions your state does not allow, or subtract state-specific wage exclusions.
2026 estimate
State and local amounts spread an estimated annual liability evenly across paychecks. They are not state withholding formulas. Federal filing support here is single or married filing jointly.
How it works›
Payroll tax. Retirement deferrals reduce federal income-tax wages but remain subject to FICA. Only entered eligible cafeteria-plan benefits reduce both bases. Social Security uses remaining annual wage-base room. Additional Medicare withholding starts at the employer’s $200,000 threshold for every filing status. No bonuses, tips or multiple-employer refund calculation.2026 Publication 15
Federal withholding. Uses the same 2026 Worksheet 1A calculation as the W-4 planner. Credits and deduction adjustments must already satisfy the W-4 worksheets.2026 Publication 15-T
State and local model. Uses Numery’s sourced 2026 annual state-tax engine and supported local models. A state wage adjustment handles nonconforming pretax deductions. No state withholding tables, SDI, unemployment deductions or other state payroll taxes. State-specific credits and deductions are limited to the existing engine.State data methodology
