How it works›
Rebuilding, not market value. Dwelling coverage is square feet times entered local rebuilding cost per square foot, rounded to cents. The other coverage targets are percentages of that estimate. Confirm debris removal, code upgrades, replacement-cost endorsements, contents inventories and policy sublimits separately; this is a starting worksheet.Insurance Information Institute: rebuild estimateNY DFS: Special Form coverage
Three separate auto limits. Compare bodily injury per person, bodily injury per accident and property damage separately. An excess in one cannot offset a shortfall in another. Only the listed jurisdictions have verified ordinary-policy limits; others require confirmed manual entries. California low-cost program exceptions and other mandatory coverages are not modeled.CaliforniaDistrict of ColumbiaIllinoisTexasVirginiaWashington
Underlying limits for umbrella. The initial requirements illustrate one insurer’s accepted split-limit option. They are editable and are not universal underwriting requirements. Meeting them does not establish that an umbrella covers a particular claim. These are sizing estimates, not insurance quotes or legal advice.GEICO: underlying requirements
